Why not a British League ?
Rather than scottish league, english league and so forth
Rangers and Celtic could then play every week against good teams and would be well prepared for european competition.
Maybe it's a politically incorrect question

Re: Why not a British League ?
Because Rangers would get beat every week!
There was talk a few years ago of an 'Atlantic League', or something similar, where Rangers & Celtic, along with teams from Holland, France and others, would create a break-away league to play in. It never happened though obviously...

This Atlantic League sounds like a genuine champions league, designed as NBA. I'm totally opposed to that. But, it seems that a British League could make sense, even though small teams in Scotland or Wales are probably against such a proposal. Yet, if Rangers and Celtic are opposed too, the question is settled.

Good call! A classic example of double standards - Swansea is in Wales but they play football in the English league, even though Wales has it's own league

Re: Why not a British League ?
There will no no desire from the English teams to share their massive TV wealth with clubs north of the border. It wont happen. Scottish clubs should concentrate on actually trying to produce players skilled in technique.

I think so
Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland have their own national teams, so if you suggest to make a British championship, you may suggest to make a British national team.
And in my opinion, Scotch, Welsh and Northern Irish people would disagree
Maybe you know that people from Euskadi and Catalunya in Spain want to have their own national teams too for the next World Cup (true
)...
